SML Woodturners
The Smith Mountain Lake Woodturners Club (SMLWT) is a chapter of the American Association of Woodturners and was established in 2004. At that time, the nearest club was the Blue Ridge Woodturners in Newcastle. Several local “turners” had begun meeting at Ed Moore’s shop in Burnt Chimney to practice their skills and enjoy the camaraderie- a big part of the wood working community.
