As someone with bi-racial hair that doesn't fit into any typical classification, I have been on a longtime search for a stylist who understands that my hair is…well…different. AND accepts the fact that I don't love investing a lot of time or product in getting my mane presentable each day.

 When I first met Tracey Lozeau, owner of Bliss Salon in Westlake (their second location), I felt like she really heard what my goals were and adjusted a regularly offered treatment to meet my needs. The results (an adaptation of a Brazilian Blowout), were just what I was hoping for.

 You first sense the salon's commitment to detail simply by taking in their design aesthetic. It feels fresh, clean, modern, cozy, and intentional - all at the same time. With a comfortable sitting area, welcome drinks/snacks, and plenty of reading material available as you wait, each client will feel considered even before your treatment begins. Oh, and I can't not mention the cutie patootie shop dog who was sunning himself in the window when I arrived. ♥

 The calming hair washing room is fitted with rinse sinks, soft lighting, and relaxing music and provides a much-needed moment of zen in the middle of a full day. Besides the anti-frizz treatment that I received, there is a menu full of standard salon fare.

 Their specialty is artistically displayed on its very own feature wall: a line of premium hair extensions. The reasons that someone might consider trying extensions are about as plenteous as the shades that are available. It could be that you'd like to add length or volume to help you achieve your dream look for a special event. Or maybe, your hair is just naturally thinning due to age or medication side effects, and you'd like the option to feel more like yourself again! Tracey assures that maintenance is minimal, and with the occasional touch-up (to account for grow-out) people can enjoy their new luscious locks without a care in the world.
