Garden of Ellie Flower Farm | Moneta, VA

Jessie Biros is the grower behind a small, local flower farm recently established in Moneta, VA. May through October, you'll find her tending to the myriad of different floral varieties from which she creates her signature whimsical bouquets. The name, Garden of Ellie, is in honor of their eldest daughter. Following Ellie's birth, Jessie first tried her hand at growing flowers and began sharing that journey on TikTok, where she now has over 30k followers. She talks about the steps she took to turn her backyard into a profitable business, and now posts about the continuing adventure of expanding her endeavors toward future growth.

Currently, she sells directly to customers, most of whom order through Facebook or her website. The flowers are cut fresh to order, wrapped, and delivered straight to their door in a glass jar. It even includes a sweet, customized note. Jessie says that people love the idea of sending a friend or special someone a bouquet just to make them smile. Or maybe it's the ritual of ordering fresh flowers each week to help brighten up their own home that they enjoy! Bottom line: flowers make people happy. ♥

She accepts cash or Venmo as payment, which makes for a totally contactless, simple delivery system. Garden of Ellie also offers bouquets for brides who are looking to add local flowers to their summer wedding. In addition to ordering directly from Facebook/the website, you can find grab-and-go bouquets at Evie's at the Lake (in the Eastlake Food Lion shopping center).

Jessie dreams of one day bringing a u-pick flower farm and market to Smith Mountain Lake and is on the lookout for the perfect plot of land that will help make that dream a reality.

Garden of Ellie is such a beautiful new addition to our local business roster. I hope you'll add a little sunshine into your home or a friend's day via these cheerful floral creations very soon!!
