Gladheart Wine and Brews

When I posted about our new wine club a few issues ago, the overall reaction was swift and sure. A vast majority of ya'll loves you some wine! So today I thought I'd give a little shout-out to a new(ish) wine shop in nearby Roanoke in case it wasn't yet on your radar.

Gladheart Wine & Brews was formerly known as Mr. Bill's Wine Cellar. It was a regular haunt of ours before Mr. Bill retired as it was very near our old stomping grounds. Whenever a well-beloved business is taken over, there's always a bit of trepidation surrounding the changeover and how well the new owners will steward an established pillar of the community. After finding out that we (surprisingly) actually knew the new owners (!) we were excited to hear about their vision for the place, which includes an onsite coffee roaster, tastings, education, and truly being a destination to build connection. We're 110% behind that. Perhaps in the future I'll introduce you to the owners Philip and Jayson, but for now just know that there is a fabulous resource for all your wine and beer needs just a hop, skip, and a jump away!
