i tell everyone - it’s good to be a lake rat and ain’t that the truth. our muddy, gritty water blue gill honey holes and all of that quiet. sticky hot and t-tops Thermoses of coffee and sweatshirts and the brightest skies foggy sunrises / murky sunsets home - in all seasons. we are the lucky ones. to have somewhere to love, to protect, to hold dear. the lake rat.
