All boaters have been there. You're out on the water, nowhere near your dock, nowhere near your destination...and nature calls. Maybe it's for you, or maybe your elderly mother-in-law. Perhaps even your four-legged friend. But where is it safe to stop in a pinch?? Some establishments frown on being used purely for their facilities, while others are happy to be an emergency duck-in along the way when needed.
I've compiled a list of places that are both human and dog "nature-calls" friendly so that the next time you find yourself needing to dock in a hurry, you'll know where to head! It probably goes without saying, but please pick up after your dog and keep them on a leash at all times. Like anything on the lake, these locations may have seasonal hours or be closed for servicing, so it's always good to call ahead to marinas when possible.
