Baute Cuisine

(I've never been one to shy away from a good pun.)

As high boating season draws ever nearer, I've begun checking on the general condition of my supplies and starting to work on a master food list that I can then easily draw ideas from for entertaining, spur-of-the-moment dinner cruises, and everything in between. You can find some thoughts on elevated (but not complicated) fare HERE, and a line-up of fun kabab combos HERE. But when the occasion calls for a quick takeout meal to enjoy out on the water, it's good to have a few go-tos ready in your back pocket. Keep in mind that my ideal criteria typically include: no silverware, simple to transport, easy to balance/eat without a table, excellent for sharing.

Let's start with the obvious - Sandwiches/Wraps.

My regular deli stops are:

In the mood for Mexican? These menu items are particularly boat-able:

Nachos

Quesadillas

Flautas

Taquitos

(Cancun Mexican Grill is topping my south-of-the-border list at the mo.)

Got Asian Cuisine on the brain? All of these are perfect for finger-fooding-it:

Sushi Rolls

Spring Rolls

Egg Rolls

Chicken Kababs

Pork Buns

I enjoy both Edo and Teriyaki House.

In the Messy-But-Worth-It category try:

Dry Rub Wings and Drummies from Copper Kettle

and

Lobster Fries from Bull Docks
